Steel welding, load joints, frame mods
A construction crane that becomes a bird crane.
Prism Heron is a polyhedral red-crowned crane. A steel keel carries the load under a wood-and-aluminum skin. An exposed-truss neck reaches forward, a faceted head hangs over the cab, the wings deploy and light up, and a DJ booth sits at center. We want it to last several years and tour the Bay Area after the playa. So structural safety, knock-down assembly, and road-legality come before looks.
